Trio Farben and folk singer Maddy Morris present a lunchtime concert honouring the creative legacy of Ralph and Ursula Vaughan Williams.
This richly textured programme includes chamber works by Vaughan Williams and his musical influences, Arnold Bax and Maurice Ravel, alongside folk songs he helped to preserve. At its heart is a new commission by Imogen Davey, a setting of Ursula Vaughan Williams' poem Penelope for voice and trio.
Blending tradition and innovation, this concert offers audiences a reflective and powerful musical experience shaped by the Vaughan Williamses' belief in music for everyone.
This concert is kindly supported by the Vaughan Williams Foundation.
